We support cancer research during the holiday season 2025
As in previous years, this year also Comatec will donate the money reserved for partners and employees’ Christmas gifts to charity. This year’s cause was chosen by Comatec employees in a vote.
The winner was Syöpäsäätiö, Cancer Foundation Finland, which uses donations to support cancer research and prevention and to provide support services for cancer patients. Donations enable the foundation to carry out these tasks.
The Cancer Foundation Finland provides nearly €9 million in funding for cancer research each year from donations. The Foundation is the most significant private funder of cancer research in Finland. With the support of its donors, the Cancer Foundation Finland has been able to raise the level of Finnish cancer research, as the Foundation’s grants support both basic research and clinical cancer research. Support is also provided for epidemiological, i.e., population-level statistical research at the Finnish Cancer Registry.
